Vivian's test.

Tomorrow morning Vivian will be admitted to the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at Medical City Hospital for an extended video-monitored EEG. She and I will check in around 9:30, and after we are admitted to a room, a technician will place electrodes all over Vivian's head. Then we will wait. Vivian will be able to wander around her room a little bit but will basically be tethered to the hospital bed. I will stay with her to make sure she doesn't pull any wires out or try to wander too far. If she experiences a seizure and they are able to gather the information they need, we can go home. If not, we'll stay until Friday morning.

Please pray that Vivian would be calm and easily entertained. Pray for my strength and stamina, as hanging out with her in a hospital room under 24-hour video surveillance can get a bit tedious (I will also have to sleep with her in the hospital bed to prevent her from waking up and pulling on the wires - won't that be fun and restful?!). Strange as it may sound, I ask you to pray that Vivian would have a seizure so that the doctors can learn as much as possible about where the abnormal activity originates in her brain and how best to treat it.

Dots will be staying with her friend Eliza. Hockey Boy is still in Florida. Robert will come and go from the hospital as his work schedule permits.

I will have Hockey Boy's laptop with me and hopefully will have access to some sort of WiFi signal in the hospital and be able to update my blog and check comments and emails. I would appreciate all good thoughts and prayers.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

Oh Eloise,
I wish I could come take your place tomorrow and be with Vivian and hold her. You can be assured we will ALL be praying for you and Vivian and for the doctors that are trying to help her. I am so sorry she is having all of these problems. I am praying for you to feel God's supernatural peace while you are there and for His love to surround you. Also praying that Vivian can produce the necessary test information they need to help her. Hope it is a quick stay. Know you are very loved, admired and thought about constantly! Love, Anne-Murray
