Our Christmas Tree.

IMGP2495

Last night our family set out to pick out our Christmas tree.

Vivian was not at all interested in going and had to be forced persuaded to get into the car. Hockey Boy wanted to buy the tree on display in the parking lot, so eager was he to complete the task and move on to more appealing Friday night activities like going out with his friends.

When we arrived at the tree lot, Vivian refused to get out of the car so I waited with her while Daddyman, Dots and Hockey Boy ventured forth to select our tree. I kept saying to Vivian, "Let's go find Daddyman. Let's go get a Christmas tree." She continued to answer, "I stay in the car" until all of a sudden she changed her tune and said, "I want a Christmas tree."

Vivian and I got out of the car and walked until we found the rest of our family. Vivian announced to her Daddyman, "I am ready for my Christmas treat!" I said, "Oh, Vivian. We are getting a Christmas tree not a treat," which caused her to promptly melt down and cry. We hurriedly selected and purchased a tree and left.

The evening was redeemed when we returned home and set up our beautiful tree in our entry hall. I promise to post pictures of the finished product soon.
