Christmas quiz.

I will return to sharing my Christmas decorations soon. I have a party at my house on Thursday, however, and need to work on my Christmas letter so I can get my cards out, so today I'm taking the easy way out and posting this Christmas quiz that I saw on Pink, Green and Southern's blog.

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Both, but mostly wrapping paper
2. Real tree or Artificial? Our main tree is real, but I also have an artificial tree upstairs
3. When do you put up the tree? About a week after Thanksgiving
4. When do you take the tree down? The day after Christmas
5. Do you like eggnog? Yes! My children especially love Borden eggnog. It's a big deal the first time one of us spots it in the store in the fall. They drink several half-gallons a week- I even make them mix it with milk so it will go farther.
6. Favorite gift received as a child? My chartreuse *Miss America Special* bicycle with a banana seat
7. Hardest person to buy for? My husband
8. Easiest person to buy for? Dots, my mom and my sister
9. Do you have a nativity scene? Yes - quite a few
10. Mail or email Christmas cards? Mail - I send a lot of cards. They're one of the highlights of Christmas for me.
11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? Thigh-reducing cream (favorite gift was a Baccarat cardinal from my mom)
12. Favorite Christmas Movie? A Christmas Story When I was growing up I loved a TV special called The House without a Christmas Tree - does anyone else remember that?
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? All year but mostly in the fall
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Yes
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Cookie press Christmas cookies
16. Lights on the tree? Multi-colored - love the ones that twinkle
17. Favorite Christmas song? Sacred: Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, secular: We Need a Little Christmas (Percy Faith version) I love singing Christmas carols and playing them on the piano. We listen to Christmas music at home and in the car throughout December.
18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Usually we travel to my parents' house in Jackson Hole but some years we stay home and celebrate with Robert's family. This year we are at home.
19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer? Yes! (This is a given seeing as how Vivian watches Rudolph at least once a day all year long)
20. Angel on the tree top or a star? Star
21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? Christmas morning
22. Favorite Christmas Tradition? Singing Christmas carols, sending and receiving cards
23. Favorite ornament, theme or color? Cardinals, nutcrackers, nativity scenes - see my previous post for my favorite ornaments
24. Favorite Christmas dinner? Turkey and dressing, sweet potatoes, pie (basically the same as Thanksgiving dinner), on Christmas Eve we have tamales, which is a tradition in my husband's family
25. What do you want for Christmas this year? Peace on earth, good will to all
