A joyful noise. Or not.

Dots and I manned a Salvation Army kettle outside a nearby mall last Saturday as part of our National Charity League chapter's Philanthropy Day.

Vivian sat us with but complained often, "That bell hurts my ears!"

Checking in on you. :) How was your experience as a bell-ringer? I always feel so badly when I have to pass them up because I have no cash on me. Glad to see Vivian had fun at her luncheon.

I have a little girl in my class with Apsbergers (sp?) Syndrome. (I know that's not Vivian.) Loud noises bother her as well. Whenver we have a school assembly or program, she always asks for her ear buds!

And what a wonderful thing for you and Dots to do together! Loved reading about the NCL!
