Update on Vivian - 7/10, part II.

VCM new cast

Vivian is out of surgery and back in her ICU room. The surgery went very well. Vivian came off the ventilator without event and is now sporting a pretty hot pink cast. She has a new screw in her arm that is 20 mm longer than the previous screw (which, if you saw the picture of what went in Vivian's arm before, is hard to believe!).

Thank you for your continued prayers for our sweet Vivian.

I am so glad that she is out of surgery and resting comfortably for now. What added stress and worry that must have caused to hand her over once again. I can't imagine a longer screw...I cringe just thinking about that first x-ray!!! It seems Vivian is in capable and caring hands...and I will pray that you feel the peace of that as life just swirls around you. I wanted you also to know that I have been praying a lot for Dots and Hockey Boy too...what a difficult time this must be for them. I will continue to pray for that glorious day Vivian is back to herself and completely healed.

Take care,

Kate

If a girl has to have a cast, it really needs to be pink! So glad that all went well. May everyone rest peacefully tonight, and tomorrow bring continued steps toward a full recovery.
