A peek in the past, post 3: The Greatest Halloween Costumes Ever!

12IMG0061_edited-1

My dad, in addition to being a champion gymnast as seen in this post, is an engineer by education who can build and fix anything and who worked for the Coca-Cola Company for more than 25 years. He created these costumes for my brother (the Coke can) and my sister (the Coke Machine) to wear on Halloween in the early 70's. He made himself a large Coke machine with buttons that actually pushed and wore it to trick-or-treat with my brother and sister that year, but I don't have a picture of his costume, unfortunately.

This is what Halloween is really about ~ creating a costume! My father was the one that use to help my brother and I come up with ideas, designs and the finished product. It was such a bonding time filled with giggles and love!

How cool is that? I love creative Halloween costumes - I just wish I could come up with one! Being an Atlantan, I also love Coke themed stuff!

I love the Coke machine from the 70's and 80's!

When I was in college, I went as one of the news anchors from the local stations. However, it was only from the head up as I was on TV! I had a black painted box on my shoulders with the front cut out as the screenIt was pretty cool.
